Hello happyapple - have you written as per the Step by Step instructions? did you send the cheque?

Did you send your letter by recorded delivery?

The step by step instructions together with the library are important tools in getting your money back, and all communication with the Alliance and Leicester should be sent using Special delivery or at the very least using recorded delivery.

    Hope this helps

Hi - once you know that they have your letter keep them to the time table.

If they have'nt cashed your last cheque make sure you cancel it, after all you dont want them to have more of your money then necessary.

AS I keep being told, we need to be patient and do it all in the correct order.

    keep us updated

well suprise suprise ... the statements have turned up. I've just calculated £191 I really want this money but do you think its worth it as Alliance & Leices seem to be making people file court claim and then closing the account..

I would carry on, don't forget that you can add interesticon at the MCOL stage. Open a parachute accounticon. Don't let them get away with it!

A+L S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) sent 28th July. Statements rec'd 01 Sept. Letter requesting repayment of £4,979 sent 18/09 MCOL sent 15th Nov £6389.57. Cheque received £6425.54 4th Dec.
MBNA S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) sent 28th July, promised reply by 28th August. Cheque rec'd £250 31 Aug. . 2nd letter sent 7 sept for rest of charges to be returned. £243 rec'd 28th Oct
CCA sent 1st Credit 11th August, reply 15th Aug
Request for repayment Rooftop Mortgages for £1095, reply saying no on 17th Aug.
Still to come: Cap. One, Time retail, HFC Bank.

    Hi

Just remember that the £ 191 is YOURS not theirs and plus interesticon it works out to alot more. Dont give up. You are entitled to your money and all they want is to scare people off with court action. Dont let them use that scare tactic on you.

    Good Luck and keep going
