Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I've sent the first letter to Abbey asking for my charges back, a little over £8k incl interest. I've received a letter back the "sorry you've got a complaint, we're investigating but it could take 4 weeks!"
I know I don't have to give them 4 weeks and don't intend to, I've looked at the letter library and am a little unsure if the letter before action is appropriate or how to amend it to acknowledge their letter but tell them I'm continuing the process on my timetable not theirs.
