Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
everything going fine as predicted until i received - "we are in the process of reviewing this claim and preparing our response. A defence will be filed in due course"
all previous correspondence was addressed to their complaints department but it would appear that this new department do not have access to my previous correspondence and want me to provide them with 1. my bank account number. 2. details of how the amount was calculated date by date and 3. how the interest was calculated.
this being the case and they have 28 days from 6th march to file a defence am i obliged to resend this information? as i am amazed that they are preparing a defence with no information ?
they then say that the above information should have been attached to the claim but as i conducted this via the internet and HMCS money claim on line there was no provision for this - can any one advise my next action
I have not used the mcol to be honest but others have and also forgot to send the details of the claim, from reading other posts on here you do have to send it under seperate cover.
I would suggest that you search on this site for details, or better still go back to mcol and have a good look, I have also seen a telephone number listed in some topics for them so it may be easier to call if you can't find what you are looking for
