Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.

Looking forward to another successful outcome. Good job we are not novices any longer as yes, barclaycard can be a little tricky but we know there is such good advice on this site don't we. This is probably teaching my grandmother how to suck eggs but did you realise the limitations act does not apply to credid cards? I found this information illuminating. Talk to you soon, Sally

I must admit i havnt really read up much on credit cards, so im not as up to date as you.
I shall have to start reading.....!
I see your going after haliprats again. How many have you got on the go at the moment??
Hi
I am at court stage with Barclays on my cards and they have failed to respond to the directions by the court, the deadline was on Friday, so I will leave it till Tuesday and call the courts, if nothing has been received by them I will ask the courts to stike out their defence and grant a judgement against them. The Judges Directions were very clear and precise what he wanted to see a Breakdown of their charges and proof, as to what they were going to rely on in court. What I do not understand is why they have not settled knowing what they had to do and knowing the Judge was going to give the Judgement if they did not. I cannot wait to get the bailiffs in now, they have dragged this out long enough. I will also ask the courts to allow costs for preparation of the bundle which took many hours.
So be patient, and stick to your timetable, do not give them an inch as they will take a mile and it is a good idea to read as many threads as you can.
but did you realise the limitations act does not apply to credit cards?
I am probably asking a stupid question here, but could you explain the above comments. I have sent off my tenner and am awaiting my statements at the moment, just trying to stay as informed as possible !!! Thank you
14.3.07 £10 cheque and request for Statements from Abbey National Current Account
19.3.07 £10 cheque and request for Statements from Barclaycard
19.3.07 £10 cheque and request for Statements from Abbey National/MBNA Credit Card 20.3.07 1st Letter to Nat West requesting removal of 3 unpaid D/D Fees 24.3.07 Nat West responded, requesting chq book & card returned (dont have a cheque book)
I won against MBNA, Nat West , Barclays, Barclaycard and PPI payments from Barclaycard
Abbey National still to go.... what will I do with my spare time?
With credit cards they are supposed to send you all data from the time you signed up with them. This might not be possible if you want to go back 20 years I suppose, but Tanzarelli complained to Barclaycard and obtained 10 years worth of data. In my case, this is theory at the moment but I will read Tanz's thread to see how he managed it.
Sea-sidelady. At the moment I have an aq to send back for NatWest, lba to post for co-op, having threatened Sainsbury's and Halifax with non-compliance letters I will get data by Easter. Egg are proving tiresome with 40 days running out soon and 40 days have not yet expired for another credit card. And I have a query for a colleague which I will post on Halifax. You appear to have a few ongoing looking at your signature. For goodness don't ask about the garden - and last night my 2nd cat named Cinnamon gave birth to 5 kittens in my bedroom!!! She was supposed to be neutered too. We will probably keep one and I shall ask the vet to help me find good homes for the others. The are all white/ginger like mum.
I am organising a motorbike rally for whitsun in North Wales too.......... Never a dull moment or what? Have you got a new car yet? I must look for myself and the council will lend me the money at a low rate of interest because I need a reliable car to do my job.

Have you ever worked for the civil service, post office BT or perhaps one of your parents did? I did so I joined the CSMA (find them on-line) and they sell good warranted cars, new and 2nd hand. I've mentioned them before - whitemead where we are going this summer. I'm not a fan of small dogs but westies are tough, down to earth dogs. A REAL DOG

Ok, the 40 days are up tomorrow, so if no post arrives the non compliance is ready to go.
I will have to read some more of the threads to see how long they take with this.
They neednt think im going to sit back and wait. I have just reread the letter they sent with the first few statements, and they put they will send the rest within the next 6 weeks or so...!!!
I never noticed the "or so" before. Oh i dont think so .....
If they can't cope with the volume they should employ more staff......... Just take it easy, the weather's grand and it's not worth getting your knickers in a twist as they do seem to take their time sending the data out. They responded to me within a week of receiving non-compliance letter so I wish you well. Sally

Well still no statements.
But iam going to wait until monday before i send the noncompliance.
Only because i have alot going on ( new windows getting fitted today cheers halipats..!)
And my com has been playing up, so into the shop it goes. I will get withdrawl i think. lol
So monday it is. In fact, i will send it saturday, so they get it monday.
Hi sea-sidelady and sallysas, thought I had better come along and join this thread. Recently sent SAR off to barclaycard for hubby so I will be watching carefully. Now whats on your shopping list, dogs, cats, double glazing and perhaps a new car lol
This lot are definately tricky after Halifax but then they all have their little piccadilloes and different ways of trying to make us feel wrong don't they? I spent my halifax win on making a donation to this site, throwing some at my debts and got a metro 1.1 which will do me for at least 12 months. Kittens are just over 3 weeks old and are doing fine. Shame I can't keep them all but 6 cats? Am I mental? Have you started a barclaycard thread yet? With interest rates due to rise I am considering waiting to see what the new rate will be. All the best, Sally

I got an offer for a new card the other day and for the first time i was tempted, because i know if i get in a mess i can claim it back lol.
Well i sent my non compliance on saturday, so they have till next monday, then i will file my N1, these are buggers at giving statements.
Glad to see you here Doo. You seem to be everywhere...!!
Hi sea-sidelady and sallysass -- you've both been of great help to me in the past so thought I'd post and wish you both good luck with Barclaycard -
Guess what .... I've just started a Barclaycard thread too. My husband had two of them quite a few years ago, so thought I'd start with a SAR.
We'll be looking at, if possible, claiming from 1994 - 2000.
Do you know of anyone who's claimed back over the 6 years on Barclaycard??
Dogs, cats, double glazing, cars ........ and a cuddly toy!!!!
Best wishes all.
