    Default Tawny Owl- v Barclaycard

Have had account with Barclaycard since 2003. After reading info on this site decided to try for charges on this account. My limit was only 300 pound. Also had payment protection insurance on this measly limit costing 3 pounds a month.Wrote a letter to them canceling PPIicon due to small amount insured.Received letter acknowledging cancelation followed by letter dropping limit by 20 pound.Anyway this is how the claim has gone so far.
1- Sent Subject access requesticon with ten pound postal order to
    Barclaycard

2 Sent it registered delivery on 10th January
3 Received letter from Mr Whalley with only a few days to go before 40day limit ran out saying how busy they were -there would be a delay.
4 Statements finally arrived today 15th March
5 Very surprised total charges add up to over 700 pounds -on to next stage
6 Am now up to this stage with Abbeyicon -2 accounts plus one business account- and American Expressicon -Good luck to all trying to get their charges back.Tawnyowl

    Latest on claim-
Sent letter asking for charges back just over 700.00 pound -sent letter recorded to Barclaycard
    Customer Relations Dept
    1234 Pavillion Drive
    Northampton
    NN4 7SG
    Sent on 19th March
Received reply 30th March basically saying how they think their charges are fair- but as a goodwill gestureicon they would offer the difference between the charges i have incurred and the 12 pound fee recommended by the OFT.-over 350.00. It then goes on to say if this does not meet my expectations i could be eligible to refer to the Financial Ombudsmanicon Service.I dont want to accept this figure especially the way i feel about Barclaysicon at this present time. What now.Looks like there is a possibility of winning this.Good luck to all with claims.
