further to your recent enquiry i regret to advise you that ,having fully considered your request,we are unable to make a refund to the charges applied to your bank account.

should i contact them or send second letter?

Have you sent a DPDR to find out if there have been any manual interventions?
I'd contact them by post rather than by phone. If you do phone them be careful and make sure you record the conversation. Normally I hate writing but with a letter you can review what you say before sending it. On the phone a slip can be recorded and used by the bank.
It seems from your questions that maybe you have not yet read through the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) which is an absolute must.
You have already started a legal process to recover funds from a large financial institution - you must not do so lightly - even if the evidence suggests that it is an easy process.
Spend a day or two going through it, as this also contains the "Case Guidance Notes" and "Step-by-step" guides etc. You will find them invaluable, and you need to do this in order to grasp the implications of the task that lies ahead of you......
Once you have done this, if you still have any unanswered questions, then post them here and they will be resolved in no time....
Many people here could easily answer those questions, but it really is vital to do some of the groundwork yourself. On the plus side, the benefits of a little hard work will hopefully result in a nice refund of those charges in the months ahead.
Good luck..!!!

i sent my first letter to Halifax on the 7th April 2006.
fifteen days later received a letter stating they were sorry to hear i was not satisfied with their service but they were unable to do any thing about it. so i sent the second letter stating i wanted my charges returned in full to the sum of £2,346.00 21 Days have now passed and i have received no response from the HALIFAX.
How much longer should i wait? is this normal ? And do i now need to go to the small claims cout and start proceedings. Please confirm the next procedure to me.
Please do not start seperate threads in relation to the same claim

You clearly need to read the FAQ section - perhaps this time in more detail.
If you had done so, you would not be asking those questions, and you really do need to take control of events, since you are on the verge of court action against a very well financed opposition.
