Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
My better half sent off her request for payment to A+L and got the usual standard sod off letter. The lba went in and the replay came back with a timetable outlinining their complaints procedures. I think this is just a delaying tactic but as they have now indicated a timetable to review the 'complaint' as they call it and not refused outright to repay my wifes charges can we still go ahead with court action ? . Is this a new tact or has anyone else had this before?
I received the same letter, with a little booklet.
Yeah right I just kept to the time table, they have until 20.03.07 to pay up or put in a defence.
Keep on schedule - they need to slow you down, can you imagine how many claims for repayment they have at the moment. It makes sense to send the letter because it will stall or put off some people
I never got a complaints booklet - maybe they are only for A&L's favourite customers..... or maybe they just have no clue what they are doing under the onslaught of claims now! lol!!
