A&L Authorised Overdraft Charges

Hi, first time poster here. Does anybody know if the authorised overdraft icon

fee of £5 per month charged counts as unlawful charges? As there is also an amount of interest charged on the account if you go into your overdraft. I know it's not a massive amount but there have been several years of these extra charges and with the odd £25 charge they all add up. A definite answer yes or no would be greatly appreciated...Many thanks in advance.

You cannot charge for the Auth OD fee of £5.00 this is a service fee.

You can however charge the £25.00 unauth OD fee, I had alot of those

I also charged all the interest icon

The authorised overdraft icon

fee cannot be reclaimed as it is a fee for a service provided. Unauthorised overdraft charges can be reclaimed.
You can reclaim the portion of the debit interest that was applied to your account as a direct result of penalty charges. The best way of doing that is to download the advanced spreadsheet template that is suitable for your software and enter the charges on to that.

Please spend a few days reading the FAQs and the step by step guide in the library section. That will answer most of your initial questions.
