Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
For interest one day last week I totted up my charges form my bank statements (Ia ctually keept 6+ years worth for some weird reason) it came to in excess of £4500
I duly sent a letter claiming (and set up a parachute accoutn with my other bank).
Yesterday ir eceived what I assume is the usual fobb off letter my question is what do I do next ?
Before you start - explore this site - everything you need is here - and then there is this http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...tructions.html also look at the library, there are templates for most things you need.
oh! and be prepared for all sorts of shinangens from the bank.
From your post I assume you have not sent off a DPA also known as S.A.R. requesting your statements. You need to read through the FAQS and follow the process exactly. Other than getting your statements the other information you receive by using the S.A.R. leter template is confirmation that they have no information regarding manual interventions on your account, this shuts the door on them using this to claim their charges are reasonable later.
If you haven't sent this off, you can still do so .................
Good luck
There is no such thing as impossible; only the degree of difficulty required to achieve the desired outcome.
Read through the FAQ Section.... Use these links

If you've sent the preliminary approach for payment and received the customary fob-off you send the letter before action - example here. This gives them a final two weeks to hand over the money or you go to court.
