Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Ive made a request to Natwest for a copy of all my statements for my CC - they have written back saying there is a charge of £3 per statement, so if I want a copy its £216.00!!!
Your response is to spend a few days reading the FAQs and the step by step guide in the library section.
Then send a Data Protection Act SARs request to the bank, enclosing the £10 fee. They then have 40 days to comply with your request.
You will find the letter template in the templates library.
The £10 fee is the maximum that can be charged for the information, which normally is in the form of print-outs and contains all the information you need.
A bit cheaper than £3 a sheet, Eh?
Good luck.

Incidentally, is your user name your real name? If so, it is advisable to change it to something that doesn't identify you to the banks, who regularly read these forums.
If you want it changed, send me a PM with your choice of new name and I will organise it for you.

Just read the FAQ's. Theyre lying. All you send is £10 and request all your copy statements going back 6 years. Send it recorded though so they cant deny having received it. Check all FAQ;;s and templates etc to be sure where you are sending off to for your statements. Its not your local branch, that will just hold things up.
I think you mean they are incorrect in the interpretation fendy. Or liberal with the truth. You need to send a SAR to the address at Goggarburn and remember that if the letter says you are sending £10 that you do so, ok?
