Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I've just checked my account with Lloyds and having started my claim for £1403 in July last year they have paid £842 into my account. Has anyone else had a similar experience? My hearing is on wednesday and i was just wondering if i can still go through with my case as i haven't recieved full settlement? Also, is it worth calling SC&M to push for full settlement? Any help would be much appreciated.
You can still push for full settlement however you need to inform them ASAP that you are only accepting the credit to your account as part-settlement. Do this in writing so you have evidence. Do this quickly. You can phone as well and remind them of the date and tell them that you're continuing, but make sure you put it all in writing as well.
