Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have two accounts with MBNA and one with Barclaycard. About nine months ago i forgot to pay the minimum monthly amount before i went on holiday, then when i came back couldn't afford tp pay it either and before i knew it i was two months behind on all three, with all the charges applied to them, there was no way i could afford it.
Anyway since then i have told them i am not paying till they remove all the charges, but they haven't and now about £1000 has been added on each account. I found this site around Xmas time and on 29th January sent a SAR to them both, with no response from Barclaycard and only partial response from MBNA ( which i am now sorting)

Have you been defaulted on these debts? By my calculations you are only just on the 40 days and this DP non compliance is the action you should be considering as your next move.
Honestly, i have no idea if i have been defaulted, i do not even know what it means. But i have a letter from Barclaycard saying the debt must be now paid in full (i can post the letter if it helps) and two letters from solicitors on behalf of MBNA
If i were to go, would this debt be passed on to loved ones? Would anyone pursue the debt? how does it work?
