I cannot say definitively, but I havn't seen any posts where a mortgageicon has been affected by a charges refund. That said, I am no expert and my mortgageicon wasn't with Abbeyicon when I made my claim.

As for the o/d and your new account, Abbey have to give notice if they withdraw an o/d, so you will have time to sort out your wages.

FWIW, I wouldn't touch Abbey with a shxxxy stick anymore, and would just move everything to the new account, but thats just me being bitter and twisted, and lets face it, all the banks are the same as each other so it comes down to personal preference.

    Best of luck

    Louis

thanks that as lest gives me some kind of hope my house is ok if not will move morgage as well. will stay with Abbeyicon meantime but other bank is only just a short walk rather than 10 miles. Most of my charges are when the bank payes for my direct debits but that then puts me over my limit and they charge again

    many thanks

    Hi Mvc,

found you again, I have my mortgageicon and successfully claimed of Abbeyicon, (admittedly it was on a closed account) with no impact on the mortgageicon.

I will have to see how things go when I start round 2 with them.

Agree with Louis that they will have to give notice of any changes they make to your account so you will have time to correct things.

    Keep us posted.

    Regards

    BB

Any advise offered is my own opinion, and if in doubt, always seek clarification.
