Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I too have had the defence document from Cobbetts. I didn't know the CG website existed with help about this and unfortunately replied with quite an assertive tone but I did include the paperwork I had sent to Natwest leading up to MCOL. Cobbetts set up their defence at the very last minute on the day judgement was due. I haven't heard anything but I have the aq which I haven't completed yet as I have until 19th March. Mid-way claiming the bank charges back, NatWest offered me a settlement which was less than half I had requested. I accepted it as part settlement only but heard nothing back from them until the defence document appeared (and I didn't get any money). I would like to know if I need to do anything more meantime or just wait and send off my AQ and see what happens.
