A&L have settled ! (well, sort of . . . nearly)
MCOL claim for £1212.81 was issued on 21 Feb;
Deviance & Shyster filed their intention to defend on 23 Feb.
Today I received a letter from the court saying that they understood A&L had settled the claim in full, enclosing a copy of a letter to me from A&L stating that a cheque for the full amount was enclosed.
Hang on a second, thinks I - I haven't got a cheque ?!
Of course, A&L sent the cheque, and my copy of their letter, to my old address - where I was living while the account was operational (prior to me closing it about 6 months ago). This despite the fact that the SAR, prelim letter, lba
Anyway, gave them a ring and they assured me (hmmm) that a new cheque would be issued straightaway. Needless to say that I won't instruct the court to close the claim until I have it !
