Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi
this is my first post to this inspiring site!
Looking for some advice on barclaycard claim.
I sent them my S.A.R. at the begning of Feb. Within a few days I got my cheque returned with a standard "we'll provide this, that and the other in whatever format we choose, but you don't have to pay " letter.
Then heard nothing.
Last week I got my original letter returned with a compliments slip attached with 'cheque not enclosed' hand written across it.
No tel nos or dept details etc.
I phoned customer services who were fantastically unhelpful. They had no record of my S.A.R. The dept I had sent my S.A.R to were apparently not contactable by phone! They didn't know where I should send the cheque.
I also fear that sending a cheque off with any hope that it will marry up with my initial S.A.R. would be foolhardy.
Any advice gratefully received.
I would send them a non compliance letter giving them 7days and enclose copies of your initial request and the letter they sent back to you stating they would provide the info for free.
As they responded to your initial request letter, they have proved they received it.
