    I'm afraid that I don't see any cause for celebrations.

    The Report published last October shows that banks earn about 12% from unlawful charges.
    There is nothing in the proposals which suggest that these charges will be reduced or that the basis for them will be reduced.
    I'm afraid that it is another load of ambiguous ideas intended to creat some grounds for optimism amongst the gullible and hopeful and yet offers nothing at all.
    I notice that they are now proposing another report in May.
    This is par for the course. The OFT produced a good report last April and then when they failed to get compliance they published another in October modifying their position and claiming a victory over credit card charges in E/W/S.

    Rubbish.
