    Default Is this invalid?

I received a pcnicon on Saturday (I was parked in a "permit holders only on match days" bay which I noticed afterwards). Moved to Watford that day and didn't know there was a match on!

Anyhoo... here is what my PCN says.

"Notice Number : blah blah blah

    Date of Notice: 3/3/07

    Time: 14:52

    Vehicle Registration: L...... (Correct)

Make: Volkswagen (correct) - Do they need to put model down?

Colour: Dark (Dark???? it is GREY! Surely at nearly 3pm it is still light enough to make out the colour!)

    Was seen at: 14:46

At Location: Queens Ave (S. Whipp. RDicon) - CPZ
    OPP house No. 152
8m from nearest Post No.: SIGN
    14:46

    By Parking Attendant: WT334

signatureicon : (little zig zag squiggle)

Who had reason to believe that on the : 3/3/07 the following contravention of the parking regulations had occured:

    16
Parked in a permit space without displaying a valid permit"

Is there anything about this that is illegal? (such as the colour - and should it say date of issue? or is date of notice ok too?)

If it is.. how is it illegal so that I can outline in a letter... I am appealing it anyway seeing as I didn't know and was harrassed enough from moving!

    I'd appreciate any help given.

    Thanks guys

The colour should be correct to a point. Shades of colours can vary but grey is not black or dark! Is the date of notice on the bottom of the tear off slip, The ticket must have it on or its invalid. also you can try to claim you were unloading or loading if no retrictions applied. It looks like the traffic person observed for only six mins. The NPAS at an appeal my let you off as 20mins is more realistic time. Put up a good case or story up to you. Good luck

    Hiya

    Thanks for this.

Yes, the date is on the bottom bit unfortunately. I was unloading - I think moving house quantifies as that! I will have to make sure that there are not those lines that say no unloading though.

I have appealed quite a few tickets before but this one I was unsure of.

(one of them was where my parking ticketicon had flipped over when I closed the door... still had that quashed). Another where a traffic warden got me outside Sainsburys in Victoria (I was collecting my ex with the food shopping), but didn't know I had it... so bye bye. And the other was when I was given a visitors permit by friends only to get a ticket because it was the wrong one! So I argued that they should not have supplied the residents with the wrong visitors permits in the first place so it was an error on their part. Score 3.

I think I may have managed to have others squashed but I cannot remember.

Yay me. POWER TO THE DRIVING PEOPLE!
