How Long To Banks Hold Account Information After The Account Is Closed?

Hi. I am trying to find out how long Banks hold account information after the account is closed. I had an account with the Halifax icon

from May 2001 to Sep 2003 and they were hugely un-understanding when I went through my marriage break up icon

. I would sincerely like to give them the 'glad tidings' now in return but have some gaps in my statements; are they likely to have my information still? Many thanks. Makalu

I have information from Halifax icon

that was sent to me after an SAR icon

that dates back to 1992 - they should have all your information too.

I managed to get all my statements back to 1994- and that account had been closed by them in 2003- and they hadn't even told me they'd closed it!
