    Default Help Me Re Refunds

Need some help here guys as have got conflicting information.

I have put all my charges on the spreadsheet.

In march 2004, I was refunded 4 charges on my credit card, 2 for overlimit and 2 for late payment. However there wasn't 4 charges charged that month it was because I complained about something they refunded 4 of the charges. Also again in September I wasn't charged anything but had complained, I cant remember what for and they refunded 2 of them then.

Now I have entered all of these on the spreadsheet with a - figure next to them so the spreadsheet has calculated the correct amount. But should I be listing the ones that have been refunded? Or should I just not mention the refunds and then delete any 6 charges off the spreadsheet? Or shall I just leave them on there with the -£20.00 etc next to them.

Thanks in advance. Just really want to get this right 1st time, and someone said take the refunds and another 6 off but someone else told me to leave them on there. Leaving them on there is what I am thinking would be correct.

I'm not an expert on this, but I would be inclined to list everything including the refunds but as negatives, & then I think the spread will calculate correctly.

Please stick to 1 thread regarding your claim. I have answered this question in one of your many previous posts on the same subject.

If you are claiming contractual interesticon, the sheet calculates the compounded interest from the date the charge occurred, and by just omitting them or deleting charges to offset the refund, you are going to end up with an inacurate interest figure. The basis of the contractual interest calculation on the spreadsheet is the interest is calculated by taking all the following factors into consideration - APR, Balance, Charges, number of days since the charge.

Enter the figures on your spreadsheet as they occur on your statements:
    e.g.
    01 01 06 - Late Payment Charge - 20.00
    01 02 06 - Overlimit Fee Charged - 20.00
    01 03 06 - Charge Refund - (20.00)
    01 04 06 - Late Payment Fee Charge - 12.00

this will give a more acurate figure at the end. This is very important, imagine trying to explain to a judge how you calculated your figure if you left out or deleted charges.
