Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have heard that some people have their accounts closed upon final settlement of reclaimed charges, but despite looking at a number of threads where the case has been settled, I can see no mention of it. Do the Halifax do this ever? I'm asking as I am trying to talk my parents into claiming back their charges but they are concerned that they will have their account closed and will then have difficulty opening another account with a different bank as they have an adverse crdit history.
