Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have sent off my SAR for the 3 accounts that I had with Alliance and Leicester.
Unfortunately, I no longer had any of the account numbers, so included copies of my driving licence, passport and proof of addresses for them to identify me. I also included my £10 cheque of course.
The SAR request was sent on Jan 22nd, and received on 23rd (signed for). I received a letter on 25th to say they did not have any recognition of my accounts, but I sent back another letter, again including all the relevant information.
The 40 day period expires on Monday, and I still have not received any of my statements, what is the next step?
I have seen a lot of stuff in the forums of what to do when you get the statements etc, but what do you do when the bank don't comply?
Any help or advice received is greatly appreciated.
I think you can find a letter template in the forum library for non-compliance of SAR, GAVINB. Give them the full 40 days tho, they can take it to the wire!
