Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Just thinking about filling in my aq against HSBC, has to be in by 10 March.
When I first looked at it I was struck by one thing - it asks for unavailable dates. I have a four week course coming up (end of April) and I'm emigrating at the end of June!! Can I put this all down without looking like I'm taking the p!!!?
don't see why not - if you can't get to court - you can't get there - hopefully it will be settled long before the end of june!
just put the course dates down not the emigrating deadline.
have you sent dg a Breakdown then followed up with a call to see it was received - you should be trying for an offer from them as well as keeping up with the court side of things.
here's the concise instructions for filling it out: Allocation Questionnaires - A guide to completion step by step guide;
and this:New strategy for Allocation Questionaires using posts 2 and 3
post 3 - bit in blue goes in section g of the 149 (or section h of the 150),
and post 2 (bit in blue) goes on a separate piece of paper - attached to the aq, with your name and claim number at the top, send a breakdown too with that on top. on the two posts fill in the XXXXXXs' with your details. and that's it. if your claim is for more than 1500, it costs 100 to file - be sure to add that to your claim - once you file - let dg know you will need another 100 (if you pay it) to settle.
really - it's important that you gee up dg - look at nettyg's thread - she sent emails everyday to everyone at dg and just got her full offer today - three days before the aq was due. get emailing or ringing them. you need a quick result!
Thanks lateralus, I faxed them one after I started proceedings, but not since. I'll fax one tomorrow morning and then ring in the afternoon! Would love an offer before aq - I'm not at all worried anymore that it will actually get to a hearing (got over that newbie fear after tackling Nationwide), I'm just fed up of waiting! lol.
I'll keep pestering them by phone, fill in my AQ but not submit it until I have to <img>
