Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I received a letter from Cobbetts solicitors regarding my claim against Nat West. It requested further information about my claim and reasons for it, (CPR 18). I replied, telling them that they had no need for any further information, nor were they entitled to ask for it at this stage. I gave them details, (reasons, amounts, etc.), of what I am claiming, but nothing else. Can anybody tell me how long it is likely to take from this stage until a settlement is made? I am claiming £2190, and have already refused an offer of £1217. Iam now worried that if it goes further, I may end up losing it all.
If it is CPr 18 you are not obliged to response to it as it is consider an abuse of process by them only the judge can order it. you can find find some letter template on the sticky thread. however, if it isn't have a look at the extended POC , that i am using, on my thread it will highlight the term and condition breach for a current account, as well the respionse by Muggins 74 i think i have the right username. i am about to file a claim against crapwest ( an other way to ripp you off lol , sorry feeling very frustrated by them and their silly phone call!!!) lol . i hope this help.
