Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I will try and help. I sent my first 2 letters to my local branch and when I received a reply it came from Edinburgh so I sent everything to there from then on. The address is:

My advice is to either send to your branch by Royal Mail Special Delivery which is guaranteed to be signed for by 1pm next day and which you can track & trace on Royal Mail w/s OR if you want to save yourself £4.10 (!) you can make two copies of the letter and hand deliver it to your branch along with your £10 payment, (cash or P.O, not cheque). Get them to sign & stamp your copy (this is your proof of delivery & payment). Your branch will forward it to the correct department. You will probably find that they apply a £5 historic statement fee to your a/c even though you've paid already!
I used recorded delivery at £1 to send my letters to my branch (just opposite the PO as it happens lol). You can get a scan of the signature a few days later.
