    Hi everyone

I first started the ball rolling on 17 Oct with a SARicon. I received my statements a week later. I have not managed to do anymore due to work and family commitments until now and have just done my spreadsheet with the charges. Does this delay make a difference regarding the 6yrs limit of charges if I only include charges upto the statements they sent that start in 22 Sep 2000 or can I include charges I have incurred up to todays date?

I have found the Natwesticon charges very confusing and at the moment have only included paid referralls, card misuse, unpaid DD & chqs that are obvious. On further looking at the statements I was charged £30 for an unpaid DD on 21/10/02, £ 30 card misuse 10/10/02, and another 2 card misuse of £50 on 15/10/02 and then on the 08/11/02 I was charged £25 referral charge for October. What is this for as I had already paid a penalty on each item?

This then happens again a few years later on 08/03/05 when they charged £30 for referral charge for February 05, then £30 for May 05 then again £30 for March 06, £90 for April 06 and £90 for May 06. Then I incurred further charges during July 06 for unpaid DD, Chqs, card misuse on each item and then another £30 for referral charge for July. Has anyone else come across this? I have claimed for all these.

Am I right in claiming for excess borrowing which in 2000 was £3.50 per day? then in Nov changed to unarranged borrowing fee to £14 per period and then i'm not sure as they just say charges and in Dec 03 it goes up to £20. In march 05 charges are £28 these are all per month £37 for Jun 05 and I was in credit, down to £10 in July and then up to £40. Really not sure what is going on here. Very confusing!!

In Oct 2002 I had a charge of £50 for PRF xxxxx (my account no.) I did not go over my credit zone so do not have a clue what this is for and never noticed it before. Does anyone know what this charge is?

I feel quite ashamed that I have never noticed this before but when you receive your statements and see charges you believe that it is correct and lawfull. They really could take any amount out without us quering it!!
    Frightening really.

One last thing. Last year things got really bad, hence me starting this, when in one month they charged me almost £1000 in charges. I did speak to the bank and they did give me a good will gesture and refunded me £229. They made a mistake and it should have been £275. Because the £229 figure did not add up to particular charges I don't know what ones to not include so should I list all my claims and deduct the £229 off the balance claimed?

Sorry this is all a bit long winded but hope someone can answer all my questions then I will be ready for the next stage.

    Cheers

I'd put them all into the spreadsheet, and include the refund as a negative item included in date order. Any interesticon calculation on this at a later date will calculate correctly in total.

I don't see nay of the charges that you state to appear to be lawful in my opinion.

Many thanks for your quick reply. Will do as you suggested. Since sending my last message I spoke to the bank this afternoon and they did not know what a PRF charge was!!

Nor do I. Claim it. If they justify it, then drop that one.
