Breakdown of charges letter advice and further charges since submitting my claim
Hi there,
I submitted my original letter to HSBC on 12th February, but did not send in the Breakdown of charges, just the total I was claiming for. I could not find a suitable template for a letter to send with this, so am I ok to send a copy of the original letter along with the breakdown?
Furthermore, I've managed to accrue further charges since submitting my original letter. What is the best thing to do? Should I send another copy of my original letter but with the new total I'm claiming for, including the most recent charges, or do I submit a completely new claim for these?
Re: Breakdown of charges letter advice and further charges since submitting my claim
I am assuming that you have just sent your prelim letter with a 14 day deadline for HSBC to respond? If this is the case then there is no real problem with correcting things when you send your LBA (letter before action) you can tidy it up at this point. Actually as HSBC most likely will ignore your timescales you will probably file a small claim and this is the time when you need to get your information spot on.
Re: Breakdown of charges letter advice and further charges since submitting my claim
Hi there,
Yes indeed - this is exactly where I'm up to. Okey doke then, brilliant. Well I'm going to send them an amended Prelim letter, with the Breakdown as they requested, and also include the additional charges they are going to take from my account on 15th March.
Thanks for the help, I've realised I shouldn't have rushed this so much - I don't have much time unfortunately but should make some to go over this properly...
