hi everyone,
yesterday against my better judgement i signed for car credit. from the start i stated i did not want payment protection (pps) so i went to the showroom, looked over the car and gave them the go ahead.. the sales place (wallace car sales) had never delt with this company before (credit plus) so when the agreement was faxed over low and behold it had pps on it and also a thing called GAP which i was never once told about let alone aware of.. my apr stood at 31% because i dont have the best of credit ratings but to my disbelief when the guy re-faxed without pps my apr had gone from 31% to 33.70% making my monthly payents he told me of £171 now £177 i know its only afew pounds but it mounts up over the 48months to a wopping £300 from nowhere all because i had refused pps.. the amount with pps was £192 and without should have been £171.. the sales guy from wallaces's instantely told me this was not right and that my apr should not have changed dew to not accepting pps and that it was very under handed the way credit plus had treated me.. it was refreshin to meet a sales person with an honest approach and i give him/them high praise... but i was just wondering does anybody know what if anytging i can do about this as i am not at all clued up with these sorts of dealings but do feel myself that something isn't right... any help or advice welcomed and much appreciated...!!!!
