Wink THFC4EVER v Monument (was Providian)

    Hi,

After reading lots on this site, I decided to start the process of reclaiming charges on my
Monument (was Providian) credit card. Here is where I'm up to:

05/02/2007 We sent "Preliminary Approach For Repayment" letter

13/02/2007 They sent a letter offering a 50% settlement and "We value your feedback" leaflet

14/02/2007 We sent "Rejection of Settlement Offer (insufficient amount offered) Letter"

22/02/2007 We sent "Credit or Store Card - letter before actionicon" letter

22/02/2007 They sent a "Final Response" letter and "Your complaint and the Ombudsmanicon" leaflet (Note: this arrived after we'd sent the above letter)

Question Question about "Final Response" letters

Now that we've received a "Final Response" letter, what should we do :

    a) Immediately go to the Ombudsmanicon?

    b) Wait for the lbaicon period to expire then go to the Ombudsman?

    c) Wait
for the LBA period to expire then go to court?

    d) Something else?

Thanks in advance for any advice

20/04/2007 Northampton county courticon (MCOL) sent a "Notice of Transfer of Proceedings" (Form N271) which transferred the case to Reading County Court, and also ordered that "The filing of an allocation questionnaire be dispensed with in this case unless the District Judge at the court of transfer orders otherwise."

I'm at the same point as you 'THFC4EVER'. except for the Notice of transfer of proceedings.

My court paper say Nottingham - I'm in London. but apparently the courts have a backlog (not a surprise really! ). maybe I'll get one of those soon.

I also filed my court action on the 13.4.07!

Let us all know please! Love to know how long it takes to get the money back
    good luck
