Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
After reading lots on this site, I decided to start the process of reclaiming charges on my Egg card. Here is where I'm up to:
05/02/2007 We sent "Preliminary Approach For Repayment" letter
13/02/2007 They sent a letter denying that the charges were unlawful, and saying "You now have six months...to take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service..."
01/03/2007 They phoned to ask why we'd rejected the conditions, but when we said "No conditions or it's court" they agreed to remove them all as requested! They will write to confirm.
