Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I'm about to embark on a claim for a refund of bank charges (plus interest) for a sum in the region of £1,300 from HSBC.
I have a small overdraft but have money set aside to clear it in the event that they demand repayment. My one real concern is that of a personal loan I also have with said bank. I would be up the proverbial creek if they were to demand repayment of this. Would it be lawful for them to do so? I'm guessing not because I entered into a seperate contract with them to repay on a monthly basis for 5 years, but just thought I'd ask the question anyway incase anyone is aware of others who've experienced problems in this respect.
