    Lightbulb Group (Class) Action

    Hi folks,

    I'm very new here (registered yesterday) and I've spent a lot of yesterday and some time today reading through threads.

    I calculate that the HSBCicon has taken penalty payments in excess of £6000 from my account over the last 6 yearsicon and I have noted that others are in a similar position.

    My lbaicon went out 7 days ago and so I'm still sitting, twiddling my thumbs, waiting for the bank's standard brush off response.

    Considering the potential amount of my claim, and noting that others have similar sized claims pending, I was wondering about the possibility of putting together a number of claimants to bring a group action.

    This would have the effect of reducing any costs liability and, hopefully, increasing the pressure we can place on the bank.

    Please post any comments or thoughts on this below and we'll see where it goes.

    Firstly, you need to split the claim into 2 seperate claims. £5k is the small claims court limit, and there's no possibility of paying out large costs.

    Natwest CC - Claiming £804, SETTLED IN FULL at LBA stage

    MBNA: Claiming £150 - SETTLED IN FULL at LBA stage
    HSBC: £1014 - SETTLED at LBA stage + pending charges removed
    Sisters HSBC - £300 - SETTLED IN FULL at prelim stage
    Yorkshire bank - claiming £496.68 - SETTLED IN FULL at court date stage.
    Capital One - claiming £605.54 -SETTLED IN FULL
