    Default dilemma

hey guys I'm in a bit of a dilemma with regards to 2 bank accounts

I used to work for a bank and have since left and have been subjected to a large number of bank charges with this bank - sometimes I'd phone the branch that i used to work for (were my account is) and they would refund a token amount of these charges so I was thinking of claiming back all the charges but would this seem unreasonable to the guys in the bank that I used to work in???

Also I had a loan and an account with another bank i got into difficulties and got charges on the account etc - I got a Full and finalicon settlement from this bank and they knocked about £1500 of a £5000 debt - debt cleared account closed no record on credit report - should I let sleeping dogs lie here as the bank knocked some cash of my debt

Who gives a monkey's if they think it's unreasonable? It YOUR money, not theirs. Is it likely to affect your current employment if you rock the boat with your previous job? No? Then go for it.

For what it's worth Jackster, you're claiming from the Bank rather than the branch specifically. All your letters will be going to the Head Office so your branch doesn't even need to be involved. And as seahorse says, who give a f..monkeys (!) what they think..it's your money at the end of the day. They weren't doing you a favour taking, or refunding some of the charges.

As far as the other loan goes, if it was a Full and finalicon settlement I think it would be tricky re-opening that can of worms. I'd personally leave it but the choice is yours

I agree Jackster, and as seahorse says, if it won't affect you current job then go for it.

Yes, I agree, sometimes it is best to leave such things well alone, expecially if there was no damage to your credit rating. Just consider the £1500 that they knocked off as the amount you would have reclaimed in charges. I think you didn't end up too badly in the end
