Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have a court date set for July. I would like to write to Barclays and see if they will settle the full amount rather than go to court. Is there a letter template anywhere I can follow? Can't seem to locate one.
If you've filed a claim you have already written to them at least twice (preliminary and lba) asking them to settle. They will not go to court and I think you'll just have to be patient as they usually only settle just before the court date.
you could try ringing them using contact details on this site. i know a few people have done this when they have got their court dates and the banks seem to settle.
