Question should I keep the mobile phone

3 weeks ago my card details were used for purchasing goods online, I only new of this when a mobile phoneicon was delivered to my address.

I said to the mobile phone shop chain that I would return the phone to a shop, but when I went to the bank they said do not return it until the money is refunded, I now have the money back and still have the phone.

I quite like the phone and understand it is of course still the property of the phone shop but would like compensation for all the inconvenience, would I get any and could I get them to reduce the cost of the phone as compensation, what would be the best way to do this.

    HI

    Welcome to the site.

Not sure what inconvenience the phone shop has caused you really - they sent a mobile because your card details were used to pay for it (fraudulently? - did you get to the bottom of this?) so they are well within their rights to ask for it back.

If you have decided to drop it into one of their stores, then that was really your choice. You could have asked them to send a courier or returns bag etc at their cost).

I think the most important issue is the misuse of the card.
