Thread: Bus Lane Enforcement notices

Does anybody know if their is a maximum time limit a council has for issuing an enforcement notice. I got one with a contravention date of 23/12/06 with a serving notice date of 11/02/07. Also it is for £100 is this standard and do you always have to pay to see the photo evidence. :-?

I have read somewhere - but do not have the reference to hand - that a CCTV detected contravention must be served with 28 days.

You should have a 14-day period in which to pay a discounted amount or make representations.

You should not have to pay to see the photograph. Most councils include the photograph in the pcn anyway.

Thanks for your reply. I will write to them and try it on to see if it works unless anyone else comes back with any other ideas.
