    Smile MBNA and PPI

I wrote to MBNAicon requesting they cancel my PPIicon on a loan i currently have and asked for the refund to be debited to the outsatnding loan balance. This was two weeks ago and i have had a letter today the 20th Feb confirming they have done this, the amount of refund and the lower monthly payment.
I was gobsmacked as in the terms and conditionsicon it clearly states that the insurance can be cancelled at any time but no refund would be due even if no claim had not been made.
Bit of a result i thought.

Well, £500 was what i got credited back, the full amount i had paid out over the last two years, and the letter was very nicely worded.
