I wrote to MBNA requesting they cancel my PPI on a loan i currently have and asked for the refund to be debited to the outsatnding loan balance. This was two weeks ago and i have had a letter today the 20th Feb confirming they have done this,the amount of refund and the lower monthly payment.
I was gobsmacked as in the terms and conditions it clearly states that the insurance can be cancelled at any time but no refund would be due even if no claim had not been made.
Bit of a result i thought.

PPI - GE Money / Purpleloans / Firstplus - Now Settled after 1 year long hard fight.
