Court date 5th March - no bundle receieved yet from barclaycard
I am due at Court with Barclaycard on 5th March - have not received anything from Barclaycard yet - sent my bundle off weeks ago - have not received anything from them. Any advice on what I should do?
Re: Court date 5th March - no bundle receieved yet from barclaycard
You could try calling and ask if they want to settle.......they dont normally get this far down the line

This Thursday (22nd) or next? If this Thursday call their litigation department on 0207 116 4753 and ask if they're going to make a last-minute offer. If they are call the court and ask about an adjournment (you may have to put this in writing but you should be able to email the court - ask when you phone).
Re: Court date 5th March - no bundle receieved yet from barclaycard
Just MHO, but I wouldnt adjourn anything until you have something concrete from Barclaycard, otherwise you stall the entire process - if they dont do anything you will eventually get judgement by default anyway, but I am pretty sure when you call them they will make you an offer.
Barclaycard, unlike Barclays, will make offers by email so you can get something in writing pretty much instantaneously if they are minded to offer you something.

I have an email address for the person I was dealing with but he was not in the litigation department, he was in customer services or whatever they call themselves.

Re: Court date 5th March - no bundle receieved yet from barclaycard
Thanks for the advice - I have put a letter in writing to Adrian Ruffhead of the litigation department - I would rather have something in writing - have told him in the letter that I would place this before the District Judge at the hearing if no reply is received - I have a Directions Order dated 27th November stating each party to deliver to the other all documents they intend to rely on at the hearing no later than two weeks before the hearing date - they have't done so, I have.
I have given them my mobile to contact me, but I want something in writing if they want to settle - IIf they do then say they want to settle before Court I will then ask for the money to be transferred to my bank account - (they did this when they offered me a part payment so this shouldn't be a problem) and when that is done and I have received the funds I will fax the Court with a copy of their letter telling them it has now settled.
By the way I am also claiming time for preparation of my bundle and photocopying and postage on top of the amount I am already claiming. I suggest if any one has got as far as me they should do the same.

If you are happier doing this in writing then go for it....the main thing is you have the upper hand for once!
good luck!

Hi My hearing was for tomorrow... however, in this mornings post I got an offer for the full amount, they are leaving everything to the very last moment. However if your having problems I finally talked to somebody on 0207 116 1944. This is a different number that I was given to try.
