Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
A few years ago I aquired a vehicle from these cretins, and after having the car for just over 1 year, the Police came to my door [all 9 of them] and informed me that I was driving around in a stolen or duplicated car. the Head Officer advised me to go to Govan Police Station and have the car stamped for security purposes.
This prompted me to go to Welcome and tell them of the situation and to tell them to take the car back as I no longer wanted to drive it, to which they said "you will have to pay half of the cars value even if we do take it back", which I refused to do. This was in 1994 and I have only finally paid it off last year, along with a five hundred pounds loan from the same time, which was collected by a company called Global Debt Recovery, who constantly harrassed me while at work with threatening phone calls, and made my life a misery at home also.
So its payback time!
Basically any feedback on this company would be greatly appreciated, along with letter templates and procedures on this matter.
Keep up this excellent site, there should always be hope for everyone
