Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I followed the instructions and managed to get a list of all charges made over 6 year period by the Woolwich. I wrote the first letter giving them 14 days to refund and received a reply on 31 January saying that they would hope to deal with it by 28 February. On 17 February (after the 14 day deadline) I received aletter saying that "In view of the complex nature of the issue you have raised, your complaint has now been excalted to our Head Office Customer Relations Unit". They further state that if they do not hear from me within 8 weeks they will close the complaint file.
Obviously I need to write a further letter before taking them to court but cannot find an appropriate template. I would be grateful for any help.
Hi, If you've sent the 14 day letter (lba) with the full amount that they owe you, You now need to take court action and dont forget to add the court fee's and 8% to your total you can find this on this site.
I have not sent the lba just the original letter giving them 14 days. I was intending to send the LBA but the wording does not cover a situation whereby they have replied.
