If I've caught you in time, send proof of ID off with your SAR as one of their first timewasting tactics it to write back in a week or so and ask you to provide proof of who your are, photocopy of photo driving licence or passpart will do.

Hi skbuncks, looks like I'm going after the same as you -claiming PPI and visa card charge refund from Egg! Just trying to gain enough hard info on what constitutes mis-sold ppi.I know how slippery egg are and wonder if you can enlighten me as to their ppi policy.What premise are you putting forward for being "mis-sold" to? I cannot find a policy document anywhere although they claim I requested ppi a month after opening my account.I asked them for documentary proof and they fobbed me off with "our records show" and usual "Ombudsman " nonsense.They ignored completely my questions about self-employed status and "mis-selling"
