Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
they are collecting for ge. but ge have not supplied statements under our SAR, and will be reported to ico. we cca'd cl, who defaulted on 24th jan, still nothing. we wrote saying account in dispute and they wrote back saying we had to pay anyway.
inform them that the debt is in dispute and that under sec 2.8k of the OFT debt collection guidance they should halt all action whilst a debt is reasonably in dispute. also inform them that if they were to continue to chase you you will be writing a complaint letter to the relevant people such as the oft, trading standards etc.
remind them that they are in default of the cca request.
point out that harrasement of debtors is a criminal offence under s40 of the the administration of justice act 1970.
