Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hello everyone. I'm new to the group so please excuse my inexperience. i've just filed my claim against the A&l total amount 1172 pounds. I've been on the moneyclaim site and they say that the claim has been issued and that the A&L have limited time to respond. i assume that I'll be kept up to date by the money claim site about the status of my claim tho' I must admit I'm feeling pretty nervous now about the whole process. Any support or advice would be appreciated thanks
As far as I'm aware MCOL should keep you informed of when the gubbins are deemed as having been served and then I think it's just a matter of time before either A&L pay up, or meet you in court (unlikely if you have done everything by the book), or default, in which case you can get the court to make them cough up.
Thanks younganfree. The alliance have now acknowledged the serving of the claim. I expect them to go all the way. I don't understand why they seem to treat different claims differently. You'd think there'd be a standard response etc. I read some of these threads and they have had different responses. Thanks for your interest
