Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
hi,
can anyone help, i have sent the standard letter to the Bank of Scotland asking them to refund unlawful charges. I have recieved a letter back stating that regulations have no application in my circumstances due to the fact that my account was for business purposes.
However the bank would like to solve this amicably and has offered me approx half the amount i have asked for.
Can anyone tell me if the same law applies to business accounts as it does to personal.
look forward to hearing from you
regards
carole
Hello, I'm Dav. I've just joined.
I've spent far more time than I would have liked recently talking to various dubious financial institutions. I feel like I'm going in a downward spiral. Because my credit ratings are so low, I've got rather desperate and unwittingly done some silly things. EG paying £49.50 to Fresh Finance and Advantage to find me loans which never materialised. I'm also at war with Halifax (my bank)who last year refused to credit £180 that I paid into my account when their paying in machine malfunctioned. The only decent people I've come across are Hackney Credit Union, but they have a rather laborious application process and are a bit fussy about the purpose of loans.
