Thread: SAR & Alliance and Leicester

I sent my cheque for £10 which has been cashed on the 24th and have heard nothing do I send a 20 day letter next week and where do I find one please also as I will beon holiday when the 40 days are up does it matter if I send the claim a few days late.

I didn't have a problem with this, I sent my SAR off to A&L on the 12th January 2007, they cashed my cheque a few days later and I received my copy statements on the 9th February 2007.

I, in fact did not send the statutory £10 fee to A&L. I simply asked for the statements and they were decent enough to reply promptly.

Having said that, I've since been refused payment. Although that's a story for another section of this forum. I would appreciate any help on it!

I sent mine on the 17th January, it was cashed on the 24th and I've still had nothing back... but they have applied 3 charges that weren't showing on my online banking in the mean time
