Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I bought a 2nd hand car via part exchange from a private dealer at the beginning of October 06. I test drove it before and everything was fine, it was MOT'd until Sept 07 etc.
Couple of weeks later I found the airbag light had came on, I spoke to a friend (who works as a mechanic for the manufacturer) and advised me it was a simple fault. Around another week later there was another fault that really affected the cars performance. After this I booked the car into a dealer for a proper check and found there was a list of faults adding to around £3k to repair.
As far as I know there was no warranty offered (stupidly I did not ask either)......Can anyone tell me is there anything I can do about this with it being a 2nd hand car. What are my rights??
