I am filing MCOL today provided I am no longer confused!
The whole issue of estimated charges is worrying me. I only received statements (as per) going back to 2004 so i estimated charges previous to then as advised to do so. I recently found out that microfiche has in fact been deemed as a 'relevant filing system'. So, i decided i would give Barclaycard a second chance. I wrote giving them the option to settle or give me my statements. They have done neither so do I carry on with mcol, filing for the estimated charges aswell? How do i work out itnerest on these charges? Should i complain and say they are going against the data protection act? how do i do this?
charges previous to may 2004 ~(estimated):340
charges post 2004 (actual charges): £340
total: 680
They already put £166 back on to my card even though i only accepted this as a partial payment.
In the final letter from then they say this:
"i have noted your comments. However, I can only reiterate our response as outlined in our letter dated blah blah.
I am sorry if this is not the answer you wanted, but I trust ~I have clarified Barclaycard's position.
If you would like to talk to me further please call the above number..."
That was from Carl Nuttall, anybody had dealings with him?
It's funny, they put £166 back on my card but that only reduced my balance by about £100, where did the other £66 go? on interest.... arrgrgrghrgrrhghrhgrhrgr they make me sooo mad.
