    Default hta80 vs Natwest***won***

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!! The final straw came when I was charged £76 for two cheques totalling just £5.61. This then resulted in me going over my overdrafticon by £3.

I tried phoning Natwesticon to discuss and reason with them as to how much more they are taking me over my limit but the girl was not interested and just laughed. Yes you heard right.............I was laughed at. 'Another way'........ my bottom !!!!!

Anyway I was speaking to some friends and they mentioned that I could claim my charges back. I found this site and have been reading mostly everyones stories and I have also been through the guides. I now feel I have the confidence to go ahead and claim all those charges back.

I keep all my statements so there was no need to send off the Data Protection Act request letter. I have worked out my charges which total an amazing £3985 without interest!!!!!

So here we go...........my preliminary letter has been printed off along with a schedule of those charges (not including the interest) and has been sent by recorded delivery today.

I would like you all to join me on my journey and share your knowledge.....cos i'm sure its gonna get bumpy.

I shall update you once I receive a reply..............

Thanks luco!!!! I hope that is the case.......because the court stage may be rough. I think getting that far is what I am dreading most. I'm sure you and the other members will see me through anyway.

It is unlilkely to get that far from a recent change in the way claims are being handled. If you have a current plus account then you have missed the additional £28 that will be charges at the end of next month for unarranged borrowing, if you are over your limit.

    Hi Nattie!!!

The account I have is a graduate account. I graduated in 2004 and i'm sure the account is due to be changed. I don't normally get those charges on the account.

    Thanks for your input.........

Best of luck, just be patient through each stage, maybe you will be one of the lucky ones who are settled early, (I'm at the court stage myself and if you get that far there IS plenty of help on this site!!)

Hi everyone!! Its been a while since my last post. Hope you guys are doing fine.

Today I received a letter offering me the sum of £3895 which is £100 short of what I originally asked for and does not include any interesticon. Is it worth writing and asking for the amount I originally requested or am I just being greedy.

Also they have offered to pay the funds directly into my account.......can I ask that they send me a cheque?

If you have filed at court you are entitled to the interest, also if its £100 short its £100 short of your money!!

You can also ask for a cheque however they still may pay it into your account.

Right I have decided I am not going to go for the last £100. They have offered me the majority so I am going to accept that.

I suppose you can now put this down as a success. I know it was not long and exciting like many of the others on here but I am glad its over and I now have the confidence to go and claim from the other banks.
