Hi, I'm new to the site and have just sent off my first letter to the Abbey requesting a list of transactions and charges. Not sure how much I'm going to be able to claim but have in the past been very scrappy with money and am sure that have paid thousands in bank charges over the last 6 years. Is there a limit to how much I can claim? Does anyone know if the Abbey will be forthcoming with this info or am i in for a long battle? I'm rather scared about the whole process as I have no legal experience and would appreciate any tips you may have. Thanks.
You can claim back as much as they have charged you. Have a look in the Abbey Forum, read a few threads then start one yourself. Also have a look in the Abbey Successes. That will give you some idea of the amounts people have claimed back.
Best wishes with your claim.
Regards.
Scott.
