Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
So after a 7 month battle with Lloyds before they agreed to settle.......
2 letters to A & L and less than 10 days after filing my small claim online.....I not only get a letter from Optima saying that they want to settle....but a cheque for the amount I was claiming.
2 points tho in the letter I thought worth mentioning.
1) they say the basis of my claim was that it appeared to them that I shouldn't pay any charges at all.....not true.
2) i will be contacted shortly by A & L who will discuss the future operation of my account.
**there's no mention of waving my right to any future claim. so if they don't close my account can i claim in the future?
They have already publically declared they will close ccounts of those who make claims and promised to close mine "on or after 16th January", it's still open, I also read on here of someone who was told their account whould be closed and then it wasn't so they "dipped" into the overdraft and then it was cancelled and demanded back in full, so be careful with this lot!!!
